Returns one stored message with its body, attachment metadata and download URLs, to display or process the full mail. body.html is returned exactly as the sender wrote it: not sanitised, remote content not stripped. Render it only in an isolated context (a sandboxed <iframe> without allow-scripts/allow-same-origin, on its own origin or under a restrictive CSP), and block remote images until the reader opts in, or tracking pixels report the read to the sender.

Requires the read:messages scope.
